JMT Hits New Heights with #50 ENR Ranking
Engineering News-Record (ENR)* has ranked JMT at No. 50 on the 2025 Top 500 Design Firms list released this week. Not only is this a big move up from No. 61 last year, but the ranking represents JMT’s best-ever achievement on the ENR list!
“Reaching the Top 50 is a proud milestone that we’ve looked forward to for a long time,” said JMT President Mike Blair. “Many of our employee-owners can recall this ranking as a goal we set in our strategic planning years ago.”
While we’ve evolved into a company offering much more than engineering services, for years our ENR Top 500 Design Firms ranking has been a way to compare our success against that of peers in our industries. And we have continued to progress, year by year and decade by decade.

In addition to the Design Firms ranking, JMT has improved its ranking as one of the nation’s Top 20 Transportation Design Firms, moving up two spots to No. 14 this year.
Beyond the Rankings
According to ENR, median firm revenue rose 9.4% in 2024 compared to 2023, and domestic revenue for the Top 500 Design Firms increased 7.9% over the same period.
JMT’s revenues rose 23.8% last year, far surpassing the industry averages.
